Project: Hancock Condo
Type: Residential Interior Renovation
Program: High-Rise Condo Unit
Location: Streeterville, Chicago
Architect/Designer: Vladimir Radutny Architects
Complete renovation of a top floor unit in the John Hancock building. This was the first residential unit in the building where the use of intumescent fireproofing paint on the structural steel columns and beams was approved, which allowed us to showcase the iconic steel structure within the residence and create a much more open and airy feel to the unit.
The entire project was constructed with extremely tight tolerances to achieve the simple, precise, and elegant look desired by the client. Great lengths were taken to maintain the minimalist design and visual alignments through the use of innovative detailing and materials including a ΒΌβ painted plate steel ceiling in the master bedroom, concealed LED strip lighting, custom fabricated concealed countertop supports, and integrated millwork to name a few. We are excited to showcase the finished product as we expect this project to garner much attention.
